First, the first step was to learn about what a rube goldburg was and understand it. Next, we got into groups of three. Our job was to make a complex machine that performs a simple task like making coffee or popcorn. A rube goldburg is pretty much a useless machine that takes a lot of more complicated contraptions do a simple task. My groups task was to make popcorn with a popcorn machine and our rube had some components like a pully, dominos, progressive dominos, marble tracks mouse trap and more. I like the part on our rube where it starts with progressive dominos and then the dominos hit the big ball that falls off the rube and pulls a stick out from under the counterweight of the pully and then the basket side goes up super high and hits this key that slides down a wire and hits a paper clip that makes a marble roll down a track. 1: What hand skills did you learn and use on building this rube? On this project I used a lot of hand skills like I used a lot of construction because I had to build with my hands I also used a lot of other skills but I used problem solving the most because I had to figure out how the next step would get triggers by the privous step. 2:What was the hardest part of this project? I personaly think the hardest part of my project was doing the analysis of the rube and some of its steps because it is hard for me to understand that stuff and how it works. 3:What was your biggest contibution to the team? I think my bggest contibution to the rube was problem solving. For example when my team was stuck on a problem or how another step gets triggered I figured it out and problem solved.
